The start of President Trump’s second term has been busy – a classic understatement to begin this survey of Congress during ‘Trump 2.0’. Critics labelled his actions as chaotic and destructive and at times unconstitutional. Trump’s supporters defended him by saying that he has merely been implementing reforms and changes promised during his election campaign, with a clear popular mandate – he won both the Electoral College and the popular vote in November 2024.
