NEW HORIZONS: GEOGRAPHY WORKS

Commercial management graduate scheme

Geography is the study of places and the relationships between people and their environment. As geographers we assess these relationships, we analyse, we look for patterns and we draw conclusions as to what the impact might be or if mitigations and strategies need to be implemented in response to problems or issues.

I work on a commercial management graduate scheme for BT, which, on the face of it, sounds like a load of corporate buzzwords that don’t really mean anything. You might think that I sound like I should have a degree in an area like economics, business or finance, but the truth is I didn’t fancy these subjects when I made my decision about degrees. I studied geography.
