Answering exam questions on coastal management

Coastal management is a popular topic in GCSE geography. This article will help you to write good exam answers about ways of managing coasts and why some methods are more effective than others.

You need to know examples of methods of managing coasts along a stretch of coast in the UK. Make sure you can name a particular coastline that needs managing, e.g. Holderness; the Norfolk coast (e.g. Happisburgh). You should know why it is important to manage this coast, and whether the money spent is worth it.
