If you are following Edexcel’s global route you need to have knowledge and understanding of how global economic governance deals with the issue of poverty, including the ‘North–South divide’.

The North–South divide is a socioeconomic and political distinction. It separates the world’s wealthier, industrialised countries (principally in the northern hemisphere) from the poorer developing countries, which are mainly in the southern hemisphere.
