Managing your time effectively

As you have probably realised, studying history is very time-consuming, especially when you are studying other subjects on an advanced-level course. What makes history as a discipline especially demanding on time is the requirement that you ‘read around’ topics to broaden and deepen basic knowledge and understanding. This article aims to provide you with some of the tools that will help you manage your time more effectively and efficiently so that you can get the most from your studies.

It is helpful to be aware that, as a student, there are different types of work and leisure time, as this will help you to be more flexible and in control of your workload. Broadly speaking, time can be divided into that which is fixed, and that which is more variable.
