All A-level awarding bodies require you to undertake some independent study in the form of a coursework investigation. But how do you do that successfully? The following approach is a useful way of ensuring that you produce a high-quality piece of coursework.
Coursework investigations can vary from framing an original question and answering it using a range of primary and secondary sources, to a more pointed task demanding analysis and evaluation of a narrower selection of secondary sources (now more commonly referred to as interpretations). Whatever the task demands, they all have in common the need to research material to produce a long essay of between 3,500 and 4,000 words.
