SG I am Stephen Gibson and have been an economic practitioner for over 25 years, having been senior economist at Royal Mail, head of economics at Railtrack/Network Rail, principal economist at Ofcom, chief economist at Postcomm and at Ofwat.

In 2011, I set up my own economic consultancy (SLG Economics) to provide microeconomic advice and support to regulators, regulated companies and government. In 2018 I joined the government’s Regulatory Policy Committee as a member of the committee and then was appointed chair in 2019.
