Skincare helps to protect your skin from environmental damage, like sunlight, pollution and harsh weather conditions. It also supplies essential hydration and nutrients to keep your skin healthy and strong. Regular skincare can help to prevent a range of skin issues, including acne.

Acne is caused when tiny pores in the skin become clogged with dead skin cells and oil. Bacteria also play a role in inflammation, which results in the red bumps that characterise acne. Acne treatment relies on a variety of chemicals that target different aspects of the acne formation process. Key ingredients include benzoyl peroxide (kills bacteria and reduces inflammation), retinoids (help to unclog pores and prevent new breakouts) and salicylic acid (exfoliates and reduces inflammation).
