Can bacteria combat mosquito-borne diseases?

A note from the editorial chair…

As subscribers will know, sadly, this is the last issue of the magazine. For almost 40 years Biological Sciences Review has covered current research on important issues (such as the destruction of tropical rainforests that featured on the cover of our first issue – which, also sadly, remains a huge problem today).

I thank the publishers’ editors, our editorial assistants and the wonderful team of editors, past and present, for their superb powers of persuasion, hard work and delightful company. It has been a huge privilege to work with authors, ranging from undergraduates, through experienced professionals, to distinguished professors, bringing readers the excitement of biological research and employment.
